The Last Bullet (also known as The Last Bullet: Updated) is a total conversion Half-Life modification, one of the alternate histories inspired by the Wolfenstein series of games and other iconic 3D shooters.

The mod started back in 2017, however the development was left unfinished after v1.4.5 release and the localization patches. In 2020, the development started to continue, according to the developer, as a remaster (TLB: Updated) and polishing to a reasonable and playable state with a WW2 theme, which In addition to new maps, weapons and characters, you will find an expanded plot.

Storyline

The Last Bullet is one of many alternate histories. The war, as in the real story, is won by the Allies, and the Third Reich has failed. However, the international agency RedStar has not had time to breathe easy, as they received alarming news...

The year is 1946. Allied forces have defeated the Third Reich. However, shortly after the surrender of the Wehrmacht forces, the RedStar agency received disturbing news. According to the report, far away in the mountains in northern Germany in the castle Wittrinkatz was recorded Nazi group "Cobra", whose task was to develop new weapons. As it turned out, the Cobra group continued its activities under the leadership of Professor Friedrich Hartmann, nicknamed "Dead Eye". It is said that the professor considers a certain project called "Iron Heart" to be his life's work.

In order to gather intelligence, the subversive group "Omega" of the international organization RedStar was introduced into the castle Wittrinkatz, but soon lost contact with them. The Russian agent Viktor Baklazhovich (the protagonist) was sent to the rescue of the "Omega" group under the code name "Shadow".
