Staffer Retro is a mystery adventure game where you uncover past incidents related to ‘Mana’, the source of supernatural powers. Gather information through dialogue and exploration, and piece together clues found in documents to guide the choices of Verita Retro, the protagonist.

Storyline

In a world where supernatural powers exist, Verita Retro is an ordinary girl from Sicily who longs for a quiet, peaceful life. But when her family leaves her behind with a crushing debt, that ordinary life is shattered.

In search of a way forward, Verita encounters Zad Vering, a merchant who deals in STAFF—mysterious objects infused with supernatural power. When she learns that these objects can be sold for a high price, she chooses to become involved.

But that choice marks the beginning of a tragedy. What Verita is truly stepping toward is a hidden truth. The closer she comes to uncovering it, the more misfortune consumes her life, while a voice deep within her tells her to flee. Yet the story continues through her choices and deductions, as she is forced again and again to decide whether to press on toward the truth or give up before it destroys her completely.
