Storyline

On the outskirts of a remote frontier village lived two young sisters—Liz and Rose Lachester. Despite their renowned alchemist lineage and grueling childhood training, both have fallen into a life of laziness following the mysterious disappearance of their parents. Their carefree days soon come to a sudden end, however, when they find themselves saddled with crippling debt under an existing agreement with the shipowner Countess Remilia.

Desperate to escape their dire situation, they attempt a daring overnight flight, only to be captured by a military ship. Now branded as slaves using accursed ”emblem magic,” they are thrust into the unforgiving world of Fahran, a stratified city rife with intrigue and danger. Here, they must endure harsh labor and navigate its treacherous tiers to reclaim their freedom. Will these wayward sisters rise to the challenge, or will the city claim them as its own?
