Storyline

In an unknown year, humans mysteriously went extinct after a disease caused by the Friendly Pals. Originally animal creatures genetically modified and given human-like intelligence for mankind's own purposes, the Pals simply picked up where humans left off—building lives, families, and a future of their own.

You play as Dan the Dog, a little guy who gets a phone call from his best friend, Basil the Bat, inviting you to an old forest campsite to reunite with childhood friends. But this forest hides a dark past of what is buried inside, and is humanity truly extinct?
