Rogue is a dungeon-crawling adventure originally developed in the early 1980s, known for introducing procedurally generated levels and permadeath, which defined the "roguelike" genre. In this game, players explore the Dungeons of Doom, battling monsters and collecting treasure in a quest for the Amulet of Yendor. The Nintendo Switch port recreates Epyx's Amiga version, featuring pixel-art graphics and optional CRT filters for a retro aesthetic, along with background music that can be toggled on or off. This version stays faithful to the original gameplay while utilizing modern hardware for a smoother visual experience.
