Effulgence RPG

About

Effulgence is a party-based RPG in a sci-fi setting. Players will explore a distant, possibly extinct world, battle its hostile inhabitants, craft gear, and develop their characters. All graphics in Effulgence are made of text symbols, making it visually unique.

Storyline

It's easy to transmit a video signal when you're just the distance of a satellite away. If you go beyond the solar system, it may take hours to send a regular image to Earth.

But when the signal comes from a galaxy a million light-years away, only fragments of symbols make it to us. Sometimes, they can be decoded and assembled into an animation made from text characters.

This is the story of a strange world. It may no longer exist, as the signal has traveled for a million years. Or perhaps it not only exists, but is preparing an attack?
