In Desperado 2, the sequel to Desperado, the player is Marshall James, a sheriff sent by the state of Texas to restore order in the corrupt and violent town of Devil Stone.

The game is divided into two parts. In the first one it is a side scrolling shooting game. In the second part, located in the typical western saloon, it is a first-time shooter.

Storyline

1850, Devil Stone. The town's mayor, Bigpig, with the help of the bribable One Eyed Wicked and his lackey Fat Though, has turned it into what is now the meeting place and guard for the most dangerous bandits, criminals and assassins of the western Pecos.

The state of Texas, fed up with the abuses committed there in the name of the Law, has agreed to send the best Sheriff ever known, Marshall James, who will have to expel all the criminals from the town, imprison Bigpig and his clique, and re-establish the Law again
