Storyline

What shall I do to escape this place? My cold stone and tile cell in some secret basement surrounded only by my thoughts and two empty cells. I have tried my magic, It does not work. It seems that a great sorcerer has cast a spell that albeit extremely difficult, removes my magic powers in this decrepit stone room. A far cry from the cozy and warm feel of my home. Does putting me in a place as run down and cold as this really show that I was important enough to be captured; imprisoned to keep me away from prying eyes and the agendas of others? I am but a young mage that just completed my training and set free to do magic as I wish for the betterment of our town. My activities involving magic to solve my town's problems with proficiency at my age attracted gratitude and respect from my fellow townspeople along with interest from beyond our walls. I lived a successful few years with only one instance where I may have done something to anger the evil sorcerer. I was only doing what I was trained to do which was use my magic to stop the forces of evil in their sinister plot to start chaos. Perhaps that is why I am now imprisoned within this dank underground room.
I could never believe that it would be one of the people I knew most that would imprison me in this dank prison. A young male artisan that worked with clay and made great efforts to court me. He always complemented my beautiful sapphire eyes, my hazel coloured hair, and my skills with magic. Did I trust him too much too early into our relationship? Maybe, yet I did love him. Until he did this to me. To go out with him under the guise of a date to be brought to a quiet courtyard with brick walls far from the main boulevards only to have a weakness spell cast upon me and multiple cloaked figures emerge from the archways and doors of the courtyard. I assumed that they were ambushing both of us but I was wrong. They ignored him and only went for me. In my weakened state I tried to fight them off only to be restrained after managing to stab one of the attackers who retaliated by kicking me in the face after I was restrained. I screamed in anger towards my boyfriend who was being handed a cloth pouch. He responded to my anger by telling me that I’m a nice girl that made a mistake of messing with the land's most powerful sorcerer before having a bag put over my head along with my hands and legs bound. I'm carried for who knows how long through the quiet streets into an unknown house; down some stairs and thrown into this cold stone cell after being unbound. Reflecting back on this I never should have shared so much about myself to a man I only knew for a few weeks.
Clearly I have done something that angered this land's evil sorcerer enough to be thrown to rot in this cell with messy hair, soiled blue dress, and dirtied white skin as an insult to my final date. If I managed to escape this basement I cannot return to my normal life. The sorcerer will begin to hunt me again. I must use all that I have learned to find and defeat them. Perhaps I could also consult previous Mages I have worked with to learn new spells that will aid me. If I escape is not correct. I must escape. I must.
