Aurora Polaris is a vertical shoot 'em up set in a post-pandemic future where a mysterious old engineer brings together four unlikely pilots to stop a technocratic regime known as NOX. Blending arcade action, anime-inspired visuals, and heartfelt narrative, players engage in intense boss fights, upgrade their ships, and explore handcrafted stages across a frozen Earth. Featuring local co-op, emotional cutscenes, and a unique sci-fi take on holiday mythology.

Storyline

In the year 2030, the world is still reeling from the aftermath of the 2020 pandemic. Governments have collapsed, conflicts have erupted, and a new force has risen: NOX — a secretive organization enforcing “order” through biotech weaponry and AI-controlled aerial forces.

From the frozen ruins of the North Pole, a mysterious engineer known as Dr. Artikos launches Operation Aurora Polaris. With cutting-edge technology and a hidden agenda, he assembles four unlikely pilots from around the globe to rebel against NOX and restore hope to humanity.

As the war escalates, truths unravel. Who is Dr. Artikos, really? And can magic and science coexist to save what remains of the world?
